Number 1 Care

Group & Centre Activities Support

Group activities can be a powerful way to build confidence, friendships, and everyday skills.
At Number 1 Care, we support you to join group and centre-based activities in a way that feels safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.

With 15+ years of lived disability support experience, we focus on connection and confidence – not pressure or “one-size-fits-all” programs.

We understand that joining group activities can feel overwhelming at times, which is why our support is designed to help you feel comfortable, confident, and included.

Connection, Confidence & Community

Group settings can help participants feel included, develop social skills, and enjoy meaningful routines outside the home.

We tailor support to each participant’s goals, interests, and comfort level – including support for anxiety, sensory needs, and social confidence.

Activities We Can Support

  • Centre-based programs and group sessions
  • Recreational and creative activities
  • Skill-building workshops and learning programs
  • Group outings and community events
  • Social confidence and communication practice
  • Routine-building through regular activities

Whether you prefer small groups or larger programs, we help you participate in a way that feels calm and supported.

Personalised Support, Not Forced Participation

Some participants love busy group environments, while others prefer quieter, smaller groups. We respect personal pace and preferences and support participants gently, without pushing.

Our role is to support independence while maintaining dignity – stepping in when needed and giving space when preferred.

Quality, Safety & Professional Standards

We provide high-quality, safe supports in line with the NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards – with respect, privacy, and clear communication at every step.

Our Approach

We’re a family-led provider, and our support is relationship-driven. Participants feel more confident when supported by familiar faces who understand their needs and routines.

Because real progress happens when people feel safe, included, and understood.

Working Together

We work closely with families, carers, and support coordinators to ensure everyone feels informed and involved – while always prioritising participant choice and comfort.

Clear communication helps group participation feel smoother and more successful over time.
